Arkansas State House of Representatives Chamber

  • Five cameras are positioned in the chamber and automatically display selected members with their name superimposed as they address the house.
  • From the control booth, video is recorded and can be streamed over the internet and transmitted to public television networks.
  • Video from committee rooms elsewhere in the capitol is also transmitted to and controlled from the booth.

Construction on Arkansas's second capitol was completed in 1915. Although the building was not yet fully completed, the Arkansas House of Representatives held their first meeting there in 1911.

The building was listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and has undergone renovations several times during its 100+ years.
